  Here is a couple more that I got from the Coaster swap that I did last month.  This one is a 3 sided picture frame designed by KaLee Lopez.  I love the colors, very soft looking:)!  Here are the details she listed:

Well I guess I am criss crossin' too!

I've been looking at these criss cross cards for weeks now but haven't had an opportunity to make one.  Then, last night, I needed an idea for the swap that I am in...so here it is!  I hope everyone likes this Autumn Harvest set because it is my newest addiction:)  It is so quick and easy to watercolor (I used an aquapainter and reinkers this time).  To color the pumpkins, I used pumpkin pie all over and then went around the edges with a layer of really rust over top.  The stem and ground is done in old olive.  The tutorial for the criss cross cards can be found on Splitcoast.  I used SU's Four Season's designer paper on the flaps.  I stamped the word "Autumn" from the Season by Season set in choc. chip.  A tab was punched with the Round Tab punch and fastened with copper vintage brads.  I stamped, colored and cut out a leaf to add to the tab.  On the belly band, I stamped leaves in pumpkin pie and used the All in a Row set in choc. chip along the bottom.  The pumpkins on the band were stamped on vanilla cs and then cut out.

Now I just have to make 11 more of these by the end of the day!  No problem, lol!  That's what I get for procrastinating again:)

Just in time!

Wouldn't you know it...I have a whole month to do my By Invitation Only (BIO) Swap and I am finishing this one at the very last minute.   It has to be in California by the 15th and I won't get it in the mail til tonight.  I just have been so busy lately that my mojo is vanishing:(  Each month we usually have a theme but this month it is our choice.  You'd think that would be easy but NO....I drew a complete blank!  I have fallen in love with with Michelle Wooderson's Tent Topper cards on her blog, Mish Mash, so I totally had to CASE her design for this card.  They are 4 1/2" square and fit perfectly into a standard envelope.  Just be careful that your circle doesn't sit too high.  I laid it on the envelope before I tacked it down just to make sure.  I used my new SU In-Colors, Purely Pomogranite and Groovy Guava along with chocolate chip because doesn't brown go with everything?!  The flower center was cut out using the small oval punch and then was covered in Crystal Effects and sprinkled with dazzling diamonds glitter.  The stems were cut free-hand with always artichoke cardstock.

Hope all my American friends are having a great 4th of July!  We had our Canada Day on July 1st and I had an opportunity to take in a wonderful fireworks display on Sunday and then spend the holiday Monday with my MIL (who is visiting us from Toronto) at the local zoo.  It was such a gorgeous day so we were able to get a lot of great pictures.

Father's Day/Masculine Birthday Swap

Oh boy, this card was a struggle!!  I am in a monthly swap with a very talented group of ladies and this month we had to do masculine cards...NOT my specialty:(   I spent about 2 weeks trying to come up with an idea and then I just asked my husband what he would like to receive as man.  He likes earth tones and wildlife and loved the faux wood technique that I used for his birthday this year so...here's what I came up with combining all of that!  I used the crayon resist technique on the deer and the clouds.  Many thanks to my mom for lending me this stamp set and a couple of extra sheets of more mustard cardstock so I could finish this swap=).

Cardstock:  More mustard, choc. chip, glossy white, black

Ink:  black, close to cocoa, white craft ink, more mustard

Accessories:  natural hemp twine, black marker, white crayon, brayer, metallic eyelets

Same but different!

I made a few of these neutral baby cards for a card swap that I am in.  It is a background stamp swap so I decide to leave off the yellow panel so that you can see more of the background stamp.  I only had to make 7 of them but they took me about 4 hours!!!  Good thing someone had lent us Season One of "24" so I had something great to watch as I was working!  Jack Bauer rocks!  I have insanely signed up for about 5 swaps this month so I will be pretty busy!

Neutral baby card

Friday's SCS challenge was to make a neutral baby card (no pinks or blues).  I used my bold brights for this card.  Now I just need someone I know to get pregnant so I can give this to them!!!  I didn't have a cloud stencil so I just made one myself and sponged it with ballet blue.  I used my white gel pen for accents on the bottom and in the "sweet heart" circle.  Although it is hard to see in the photo, I used the Simple Shapes set to make patterns on the yellow cardstock and the three small circles stamp to make faux brads.  The stars and swirls on the bottom are embossed in black and the grass is drawn in with a black marker.

Ink:  Green galore, yoyo yellow, black, ballet blue, black

Baby Announcement swap

I have signed myself up for a Wedding/Baby swap this month.  The wording on the right is done using black embossing powder.  The bear image is watercolored with reinker and aquapainter.  The swap only required us to make the card front.  If I was making a full size card, I would matte a square inside to include a picture of the child.
