I made this 5 x 5 card for my mother's birthday using the new Inspired by Nature set. I LOVE this set!!! The main image was done using markers. I was unenthusiastically coloring the stamp at first and sort of wondering if the color combo was going to work and doubting that it would end up looking very good because you really can't tell when you are coloring the stamp. Then when I stamped it, holy cow, it was AWESOME!! After that, it was as if the card made itself:)
Actually, there is a bit of a story behind this card set. I had originally designed the card to have a pocket on the inside so that I could put her present (a ticket to the musical, Hairspray) in it. However, just before I taped the pocket down I realized that I hadn't measured the length of the ticket so I went and got it and....of course...it was too big to fit in the card. SO, I cut off the pocket and made the ticket holder instead.
The ticket holder was cut using a 6 x 9" piece of cardstock, scored at 3" and 6".
I used the scallop edge punch (my favorite!) to scallop along the bottom. The artichoke grosgrain ribbon holds it closed as I didn't have any velcro or magnets left.
Here is the card recipe:
