  Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  Hope you have a really romantic day:)  I haven't posted anything on here for several months now because my computer is having trouble loading photos.  It has been so frustrating!

Mini Scrapbook for baby Chase

  My cousin and his wife had a beautiful baby boy last month and I wanted to make something really special for them.  I decided to make this little mini scrapbook for them so all they would have to do is add their favorite photos:)  This is a 6" x 6" book.  Click on photos for a closer view:)

SOOOO much fun!

  OMG..I can't believe that it has been over a week since I have been back from Regionals in Edmonton!  I never seem to have the time anymore to play on the computer!  Anyways, regionals were amazing, as always.  It was so nice to see Shelley (co-founder of Stampin' Up!) and all of the demonstrators.  I can never believe the wish list I come out of there with, lol!  I really was convinced that I had no use for the entire Decor Elements line (my hubbie STRONGLY objects to me putting them on our walls *wink*) until.....they demonstrated putting them on these plaques...

...and these glass boxes that light up!  Apparently you can get these at Home Depot.  What a great Christmas Gift!  So now I LOVE Decor Elements, lol! 

There was lots of stamping too.  We received the "Best Wishes & More" stamp set with our admission:)  We were then giving 6 projects to do using that set and Scandanavian Season but I was talking too much so I ended up bringing home 3 of them to work on!  It was a great day but of course it went too fast.  It would be great if it was a 2 day event...or 3 days maybe...I guess that would be convention then, lol!

I'm off...

I am taking off this evening to Edmonton, Alberta for the Edmonton Stampin' Up Regionals tomorrow!!  I am so excited!  I finally got my swaps done last night so I'm ready to roll:)  Somehow I got really lucky as well.  My in-laws are watching the kids so my husband can come along with me.  Stampin' and a weekend alone for two...I've gotta buy a lottery ticket, lol!  I'll post pictures and details on Monday!!!!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

 Happy Thanksgiving to all fellow Canadians:)!  We had a fabulous turkey with all the trimmings with my family yesterday and we are going for another big family get-together with my husband's side of the family today.  We will use holiday Monday to rest our over stuffed bellies, I'm sure.

Taryn's birthday

  My daughter went to a birthday party last weekend for THE CUTEST 4 year old girl you have ever seen!  Everyone is just mesmerized by her:)  I used this elephant stamp from High Hopes and watercolored it with sahara sand reinkers and an aquapainter on Stampin Up watercolor paper. I added a little pink pirouette to the cheeks and toe nails, then accented with a white gel pen.  The ground was shaded in choc. chip.  Then, I clipped the corners with the ticket corner punch and mounted it to choc. chip and pink pirouette cardstock.  The main image is popped up on dimensionals and attached to the scallop circle that I cut out with my Big Shot.  I placed a choc. chip circle in the middle and used a Chit Chat rub-on for the greeting.  The background is the Doodle Jumbo wheel in versamark on Kraft cardstock.  Finally, I cut out the buttons on my Big Shot and placed a neutral button in the center with linen thread.  The letters on the envelope are from the set, Short Order Alphabet.

Birthday card for Mackenna

 These Sarah Kay stamps really remind me of my daughter, Mackenna, so of course I used one for her birthday card this year.  I cannot believe that she is 5 already.  It's really hard to tell in this picture but I added diamond Stickles to the girls top so IRL it is really sparkly.

 My husband and I spent the weekend cleaning out our basement and then we donated all of our baby clothes and items that we have accumulated during the past 11 years.  I could not believe how hard it was to let go of those things.  I was literally in tears:(  Every time we put something on the truck I would pick it up and it had a memory.  Remember when Tristan would sit in that bouncy chair when he was a baby, remember when Mackenna wore that outfit for Christmas pictures when she was two, remember when Nathan used to play with that toy that he got for his first Christmas...it nearly killed me!  It felt like I was throwing away their childhood.  I know, I need counseling, lol!  On the upside, we literally hauled away a one tonne truck worth of stuff so the space downstairs is awesome!

It's a party!

My daughter turned 5 on September 23rd so we threw her a princess party.  I made Trifold pocket cards for her invitations.  The girls had a lot of fun.  We had tiaras, wands and fairy skirts for them to wear and they had Tinkerbell purses filled with princess stationary items to take home. 

My camera has been taking terrible pictures lately.  They are coming out really dark or the background is blue.  Anyways...here is the recipe!  The font is Disney that I had downloaded from somewhere on-line last year.

Card and Ticket Holder set for Mom

  I made this 5 x 5 card for my mother's birthday using the new Inspired by Nature set.  I LOVE this set!!!  The main image was done using markers.  I was unenthusiastically coloring the stamp at first and sort of wondering if the color combo was going to work and doubting that it would end up looking very good because you really can't tell when you are coloring the stamp.  Then when I stamped it, holy cow, it was AWESOME!!  After that, it was as if the card made itself:) 

Actually, there is a bit of a story behind this card set.  I had originally designed the card to have a pocket on the inside so that I could put her present (a ticket to the musical, Hairspray) in it.  However, just before I taped the pocket down I realized that I hadn't measured the length of the ticket so I went and got it and....of course...it was too big to fit in the card.  SO, I cut off the pocket and made the ticket holder instead. 

The ticket holder was cut using a 6 x 9" piece of cardstock, scored at 3" and 6".  I used the scallop edge punch (my favorite!) to scallop along the bottom.  The artichoke grosgrain ribbon holds it closed as I didn't have any velcro or magnets left.

Peek-a-Boo Treat Holder

  I found the tutorial for these super cute Peek-a-boo Treat holders on Splitcoaststampers.  They hold one little chocolate or candy.
